The latest version of Thema is v1.4

Thema version 1.2

It is recommended that anyone using Thema 1.2 should transition to the latest version of Thema. Version 1.3 is fully back-compatible with 1.2 (no existing data needs to be modified or updated, with the exception of one erroneous code introduced in Nov 2017) and it adds numerous extra subject categories and a number of new qualifiers and national extensions.

Thema version 1.2 was released at the end of May 2016. It contained around 125 new subject categories and 150 new national extension qualifiers, but retained full backward compatibility with version 1.1. Every language also included minor refinements to the wording of headings to make meanings clearer.
