  EDItX XML Document FormatsDeveloped jointly by BISAC, BIC and EDItEUR, these XML EDI transaction document formats will mirror and extend the functionality of existing X12, TRADACOMS and EDIFACT messages for the book trade and library sectors. In
each case, the Outline Specification is recommended as an introduction
to the format and the functionality which it supports. The
User Guide provides complete documentation in the form of a navigable
HTML document with a graphical representation of the message structure
and full explanations of each element and its content, including code
lists where applicable. The XML Schema contains text files
which together constitute a formal definition allowing standard XML
software to parse, verify and operate on the content of correctly
