ISBN-13 Guidelines

From January 2007 the ten-digit ISBN ( ISBN -10) will be replaced by a thirteen-digit ISBN ( ISBN -13), initially starting with the three-digit prefix 978 or 979.In additional to the general Implementation Guidelines published by the International ISBN Agency, EDItEUR has produced the following guidelines for ISBN-13 within  ONIX and EDI:

• EDI Implementation Guidelines for ISBN-13 for managing the transition from the ISBN -10 to the ISBN-13 in EDIFACT trading messages
