Digital Publishing Forum - Online Conversations: reaching communities using social media

This second seminar of 2011 will be chaired by Julia Lampam, Associate Director, Corporate Communications, Wiley. Speakers will be Sam Missingham, Head of Audience Development for The Bookseller and Futurebook.net, Alexander Martin, Head of New Media at Midas PR and Philip Sheldrake, founding member of CIPR’s social media panel.

Julia Lampam will share Wiley’s experience of developing a global social media policy. Sam Missingham will discuss how The Bookseller has reached out to the publishing community through the medium, and Alexander Martin will consider effective initiatives to develop authors’ online communities. Philip Sheldrake, who also leads CIPR’s policy group on campaign measurement and evaluation, will share his knowledge about return on investment in social media.

This friendly and informal event will allow ample time for questions and discussion, and the seminar will be followed by drinks and an opportunity for further networking and discussion.
