Digital Publishing Forum - Digital Identifiers

Following on from a sell-out session on e-book strategies for 2010 and beyond, this event will explore publishers’ perspectives on the use of digital identifiers for e-books.
• How could/should the ISBN be used for e-books, and what are the challenges to different stakeholders in the digital supply chain?
• Could the Digital Object Identifier be appropriate for interactive e-book content, and if so how?
• How can we achieve greater clarity about how the International Standard Text Code might be deployed, and the business returns that would result?
• Do we need interoperability among different digital identifiers, and what would this look like?

The seminar will be chaired by Mark Majurey, Digital Development Director, Taylor & Francis. Speakers include Alison Jones, Director of Digital Development, Palgrave Macmillan, David Roth-Ey, Digital Publisher, HarperCollins, and Brian Green, Executive Director, International ISBN Agency.
