The Digital Publishing Summit Europe

This is the third iteration of a yearly event previously known as the EPUB Summit. The two first events were held in Bordeaux (2016) and Brussels (2017). The new name illustrates the extension of our focus from EPUB related to more generic digital publishing matters, and clearly positions the event as the European counterpart of the W3C Digital Publishing Summit in the US. During this day and half, participants will exchange on technical and business innovations in the publishing industry, from the production of natively accessible ebooks to the spread of highly interoperable EPUB3 reading applications on all platforms, with Readium LCP inside. And it's not only talks… expect lots of demos. W3C members will present the advances of their work on the future (Packaged) Web Publications and the challenges of digital archival; EDRLab members will present their current work on new forms of visual narratives (BDs, Comics, Manga…). Expect also insights on the German publishing industry, the wide digitization of the whole sector, the evolution of the Tolino platform and the innovations in German startups.
