ONIX: Advanced Topics Training (NYC)

ONIX: Advanced topics is the second of two intensive all-day ONIX training sessions. It builds upon the knowledge of ONIX gained either through the Essentials training course (which runs on the previous day) or existing experience with ONIX, and covers more advanced features of book metadata, identifiers and ONIX for Books, including its use with e-books and the latest features of ONIX 3.0. Exact course content is varied according to the interests of the attendees.

The course is aimed at staff with management responsibility for metadata, either in editorial, IT, marketing, or production within a publisher, or in similar roles within distribution and retailing. It is not highly technical, but it would be of benefit to software developers seeking to understand ONIX. The Advanced topics course is suitable for those with significant existing knowledge of ONIX.

This is an in-person, all day course in NYC taught by EDItEUR's executive director, Graham Bell. The class will go over a range of advanced topics, and is perfect for anyone with good working knowledge of ONIX that would like to expand upon it. Lunch will be provided. The class runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. It is an in-person training session: no streaming options can be provided due to the length of the course and interaction required for the participants.

Also check out the ONIX 2.1 to 3.0 transition training running the following day. For those interested in subject codes, the Thema: Essentials half-day training would be a great use of time. If you register for both Advanced and the Essentials ONIX course running on the previous day, you receive a 20% discount for registration by using the code ONIX2.
