BISG ONIX for Books Training: Advanced Topics

In this all-day training session, Graham Bell, Executive Director of EDItEUR, will show experienced ONIX users how to optimize their metadata and deal with the more complex aspects of ONIX.

The Advanced Topics course is aimed at experienced ONIX users with a good background in ONIX 2.1 and/or 3.0, and especially those who have found the Essentials course valuable. Like the first course, it mixes the theoretical discussion of metadata with practical examples and guidance and links metadata very clearly with supply chain effectiveness and commercial success. Attendees should come prepared to discuss specific issues they are facing; these will be addressed in a problem-solving session in the afternoon.

The advanced course is aimed at experienced ONIX users with a good background in ONIX 2.1 and/or 3.0 typically gained over several years, and especially those who have found the Essentials course valuable. Attendees do not require a technical background—it is suitable for both publishing staff and for software developers seeking domain knowledge. It is particularly suitable for those that might manage developer teams and who wish to apply ONIX to more complex types of published products.
