ICEDIS Subscription Claims

ICEDIS Claim, Claim Response and Claim Cancellation messages v0.1

The ICEDIS Claim message formats have been developed to provide a structured means of communicating claims for missing, damaged or otherwise incorrectly fulfilled journal issues, responses to such claims and cancellations of claims. They are intended to help automate the large volumes of claims transactions commonly encountered in the serials industry.

During an initial trial period, the messages are being piloted between subscription agents and publishers specifically to communicate claims for print journals. Later phases envisage broadening this initial scope, both to include other parties in the supply chain and to accommodate claims for online resources.

The documentation for the pilot versions of the ICEDIS Claim messages includes the following:
