Pilot projects and use cases

ONIX for Repertoire
The ONIX-RP format was piloted by the Publishers Licensing Society (PLS) and the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) in the UK. A variety of use cases were analysed, in three groups:

* Full Mandate, covering the communication of a complete new publisher mandate, a replacement mandate, or a confirmation of an existing mandate;
* Add To Repertoire, covering cases where resources are added to an existing mandate, eg after a change of ownership; and
* Change Terms, covering cases where the licensing rights and/or the fees charged in connection with an existing mandate are changed.

ONIX for Distributions
The ONIX-DS format was piloted by the Authors' Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS) (UK), Access Copyright (Canada), CEDRO (Spain) and Kopinor (Norway).

Further use cases, including title-specific distributions, were analysed by CLA and PLS.
