 ONIX-PL
mappings of JISC licences
These mappings
of the JISC model licenses into an
ONIX-PL format were funded by JISC as a project under phase 2 of the PALS
Metadata and Interoperability Programme
The
goals of the
project were to map the JISC NESLi2, Dataset, and Ebooks model licences
into
the ONIX for Publications Licenses (ONIX-PL) format, and to install the
NESLi2
mapping into the ONIX-PL editing software that is being developed under
a
separate and parallel JISC-supported project.
The
three mappings
are delivered in the form of six documents, two for each mapping. The
first document in each case carries the
complete text of the model licence concerned, annotated to explain how
each
clause has been expressed in the mapping. The
second document is
the XML expression, line-numbered so that it can
be cross-referenced from the mapping notes.
